At Openhouse, we are reimagining the after-school space for K-12 students in India. We are a student centric company that cares about how students feel not just inside the classroom but also in life. In the midst of the covid pandemic, where kids are trapped at home, schools are failing & parents are anxious - we are building a social learning platform that goes beyond academia & allows students to learn & grow the way they want to - socially, with their friends!

 

Our Approach

Covid has reshaped every aspect of our lives and education is no exception. The world is learning to learn online but the main reason why online education hasn’t skyrocketed is because all platforms are designed to simply deliver content (whether pre-recorded or live). Online learning doesn’t feel natural, warm or relatable. Taking an analogy from the gaming world, edtech so far consists of single player games designed only for access but not engagement & retention. The only actions one can take is content consumption and practice via multiple choice questions. We, on the contrary, think education is an immersive multiplayer experience! If our children are going to learn online we will have to make it social. That’s how learning happens best. We think we’re amongst the first few companies in the world trying to push the boundaries of edtech to a new era of highly social & community driven learning.


Responsibilities

  • Super CMs are cutting-edge individuals who know a little bit about everything, from education, lifestyle, politics, current affairs

  • Have your own style of communicating and presenting yourself before the viewers; be warm, friendly, spontaneous, and dynamic skills so that you could leave an everlasting impression of your personality on the viewer

  • You will be undertaking a lot of other functions as well such as writing the script for the program/event, preparing the agenda for the program/event, deciding different themes and interacting with the audience.

  • You will be defining and executing our best online event experience strategy on Video platform to deliver added value to businesses and their users and increase Video platform stickiness

  • Partner with Marketing and Sales on a go-to-market plan and work to meet our growth targets to expand Zoom Platform

  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event. Act as product and subject matter expert

  • Research to understand market dynamics and customer needs

  • Perform event related tasks, such as conference bridge scheduling, data input, answering event audience member inquiries, location design edits and custom reports generation

  • Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events

  • Negotiating sponsorship deals

  • Work towards building an army of online event moderators and specialists

Desired Experience:

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience either in event management, marketing or branding an online business

  • Background in communications 

  • Possess an original style or approach is essential

  • Strong networking and self-promotion skills

  • Carry your good sense of humour, excellent communication skills

  • Ability for good voice modulation

  • Quick thinking and problem resolution skills

  • Proven ability in converting opportunities into new client engagements and build strong interpersonal relationships 

  • You thrive in a collaborative environment involving a diverse group of stakeholders including journey managers, community managers and creators. 

  • You have a curiosity to remain updated with the newest youth technologies and marketing

The best classrooms have an awesome learning culture. We think of our organization as one large classroom, where each of us is a student trying to learn from & teach one another. We have all sorts of people here: humanists, tech junkies, educationists, designers & wanna be designers!
